Roundtable Session 1: Public Transport Electrification within the CEE Region - Status, Outcomes, and Perspectives |
Within the session the roundtable participants will discuss the current status of public transport electrification in Central and Eastern Europe, including recent outcomes and strategic perspectives. Discussions will focus on national and regional programs supporting low- and zero-emission vehicles, engaging with city and regional stakeholders on evolving policies and infrastructure needs. Participants will explore challenges, successes, and necessary steps for advancing sustainable public transport across the region.

Roundtable Session 2: Public Transport Operator Perspective panel discussions for both urban and intercity/commuting transport providers. It will comprehensively address key aspects of bus fleet electrification and incorporate international case studies from various European Cities and Regions.

In this roundtable, public transport operators and licensors will exchange practical insights and experiences on procuring electric buses, establishing charging infrastructure, and planning for long-term operational costs. The discussion will explore supportive programs and funding calls specific to charging infrastructure, as well as innovative projects that drive sustainable fleet electrification. Participants will explore strategies for aligning with EU decarbonization targets and identify best practices tailored to the CEE region.
